PSA Consulting was engaged to prepare the Tweed Shire Growth Management and Housing Strategy (TSGMHS). With the Tweed Local Strategic Planning Statement 2020, identifying the need for an additional 14,325 dwellings from 2016 to 2036 (total of 57,118 dwellings to 2036), both housing and employment growth must be managed sustainably. Ensuring future growth does not adversely impact the amenity, character and unique natural environmental values of the Shire. The development of a GMHS will help to guide housing and related employment opportunities throughout Tweed over the next 20 years, while being considerate of natural values and features, constraints and infrastructure challenges.
