PSA Consulting was engaged by Maranoa Regional Council to prepare a 20-year Precinct Plan and Land Use Strategy for the Roma Airport—an initiative designed to guide long-term development, diversify land use, and enhance revenue-generating opportunities.
PSA’s approach combined strategic land use planning, market analysis, and extensive stakeholder engagement to create a clear and flexible development framework. Site visits and Council workshops ensured the plan reflected local knowledge and aspirations, while detailed analysis of market trends, site constraints, and infrastructure capacity informed the precinct layout.
The resulting strategy delivers a preferred lot layout and development roadmap that enables opportunity-led growth, while preserving Council’s flexibility to manage future land use decisions. The plan positions Roma Airport as a future-ready commercial and logistics hub along the Inland Freight Route, supporting economic diversification, attracting investment, and strengthening the region’s role in Queensland’s freight network.
