PSA Consulting supported Translink and the Queensland Government in the staged delivery of infrastructure upgrades to the Cultural Centre busway station—one of Brisbane’s busiest public transport hubs. These works form a vital part of the broader preparations for Brisbane’s New Bus Network, which will go live on 30 June 2025.
Over a multi-year period, PSA provided strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and implementation support to assist in the transition of the Cultural Centre precinct to its final operational configuration. Our role focused on helping coordinate and communicate the delivery of complex transport and pedestrian network changes in an active and high-profile urban environment.
The upgrades have transformed the way services and passengers move through the precinct. Key improvements include the staged opening of new and extended platforms, upgraded pedestrian infrastructure, new lift access, and a reconfiguration of bus lanes to better separate local and through services — improving safety, reducing congestion, and supporting a more reliable and connected network.
PSA’s collaborative and solutions-focused approach supported our government partners in delivering this significant milestone for the city, setting the foundation for a more efficient, accessible, and future-ready public transport system for Brisbane.
