PSA Consulting was engaged to assist Sunshine Coast Council in undertaking a review of the Transport Elements for the New Sunshine Coast Planning Scheme project across two stages. Stage 1 was focused on a review of the Sunshine Coast Planning Scheme 2014 to identify how Council’s Integrated Transport Strategy (ITS) will be incorporated into the New Planning Scheme (NPS) through appropriate provisions.
The purpose of Stage 2 was to progress with select recommendations from the Stage 1 Outcomes Report to confirm the required content for the transport related policies, codes and maps for inclusion in the NPS. The report identified recommended amendments and new provisions to be taken forward in drafting the NPS, along with justification and rationale for the proposed changes.
