Collaborating with the Ipswich City Council, PSA Consulting helped develop a citywide local area traffic management (LATM) program – to provide a safer environment for pedestrians, discourage non-local traffic and moderate vehicle speeds.
The project saw PSA:
- Undertake a detailed review to identify current best practices,
- Determine the current Council processes for implementation (alongside gaps or issues),
- Develop a detailed framework for identifying, assessing and designing the LATM within the road network.
Implemented by the council, the program ensured that the road network was safe, reliable, resilient and balanced the needs of all road users.
