As Ipswich continues to grow, effective parking management is critical to supporting a more connected and accessible transport system.
PSA Consulting was engaged by Ipswich City Council to deliver the Ipswich Parking Action Plan, a strategic framework to guide the planning, provision, and management of parking in line with the city’s iGO Transport Plan.
The plan introduced a Kerbside User Priority Hierarchy for key precincts to help determine how limited kerbside space should be allocated across different transport and access needs.
It also established a clear Vision, Goals, and Objectives based on ATAP Guidelines, linking them to practical actions and measurable targets to support future growth, manage demand, and enhance accessibility.
By aligning with broader transport goals, the Action Plan supports a more balanced, future-ready approach to parking across Ipswich.
