Role objectives
Provide project management, transport planning and technical traffic engineering advice to our growing Traffic and Transport Engineering team in a client-facing role.
You will work on a wide range of projects including:
- Transport infrastructure and service planning studies
- Major event transport planning
- Transport planning and traffic engineering investigations and reports
- Transport planning and traffic engineering advice and services to private and public sector, including our Land Use Planning team
Apply well-developed knowledge of emerging trends and developments in Queensland’s planning, transport, and infrastructure sectors.
Be professional, dependable and have the ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines.
Responsibilities
The main responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting in project delivery and proactively undertaking tasks to meet budget, quality, safety and timeframe expectations.
- Establishing client and business relationships by providing technical feedback and project updates.
- Engaging in professional development and industry networking to develop a strong professional profile and reputation.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines, while contributing to a positive workplace culture aligned with our values.
- Performing other duties and responsibilities within your technical discipline, as required by PSA leadership.
Qualifications, skills and experience
We’re looking for engaged, passionate and skilled problem solvers who appreciate a challenge and want to leave a positive impact – not just on our clients, but on our people too.
- Degree in Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography (or similar).
- Analytical mindset with the ability to manage teams with GIS, SIDRA and AutoCAD skillsets.
- 5+ years of experience, including leading the development of transport planning or traffic engineering investigations and projects for the private or public sector.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, leadership and delegation skills.
- Experience managing projects and delivering solutions within multi-disciplinary teams – applying technical knowledge and commercial acumen.
- Ability to deliver work to high technical standards in line with industry best practice.
