Role objectives
Provide technical traffic engineering advice to our growing Traffic and Transport Engineering team in a client-facing role.
You will work on a wide range of projects including:
- Major transport infrastructure planning studies
- Traffic analysis in SIDRA and AutoCAD
- Traffic engineering investigations and reports
- Traffic engineering advice and services to private and public sector, including our Land Use Planning team
Apply sound knowledge of developments in the planning, transport and infrastructure sectors within Queensland
Be professional, dependable and have the ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines.
Responsibilities
The main responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting in project delivery and proactively undertaking tasks to meet budget, quality, safety and timeframe expectations.
- Establishing client and business relationships by providing technical feedback and project updates.
- Working towards attaining accreditation through professional development, as well as active involvement and engagement within the industry.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines, while contributing to a positive workplace culture aligned with our values.
- Performing other duties and responsibilities within your technical discipline, as required by PSA leadership.
Qualifications, skills and experience
We’re looking for engaged, passionate and skilled problem solvers who appreciate a challenge and want to leave a positive impact – not just on our clients, but on our people too.
- Degree in Civil Engineering
- Capability in SIDRA and AutoCAD (preferrable)
- 2-5 years’ experience including traffic engineering investigations and reports for the development sector
- Solid understanding of the technical and commercial aspects of traffic engineering projects
- Good communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work within multi-disciplinary teams
- Hold or have the ability to achieve Professional accreditation and registration (e.g. CPEng/RPEng & RPEQ) [desirable]
