PSA Consulting completed a series of Transitional Planning Scheme Amendments. Assisting several Councils in making Alignment Amendments to their Planning Schemes in preparation for the new Planning Act 2016 which came into effect on 3 July 2017.
This related to a range of amendments, including changes to terminology, categories of assessment and (in some cases), the drafting of new code provisions, to ensure a more robust framework for bounded assessments, which came into play when the new Act took effect. Alignment amendments and/or peer reviews have been undertaken for Banana, Cloncurry, Gympie, Douglas, Somerset and Mackay Councils.
